Group Work & Community Events
I periodically offer ecotherapy intensives open to the public, which will be listed below. I also lead private small-group ecotherapy experiences for families, communities and organizations.
Community, Nature, & Connection: A Healing Pathway
We are living in a time of collective distress. In response, many of us seek relief in isolation, quietly bearing the painful burdens in a state of exile. The more we retreat, the more we suffer silently, pain slowly translating into shame. We start to believe that only once we are well can we return to society… And yet, while healing is often a deeply personal journey, ideally with the companionship of a trusted therapist or ally, we also need our village. We need community to hold, witness, support and contain us; we need to feel a belonging within the collective.
And this collective includes not only our human family, but the non-human as well. We belong to and within nature as a birthright, and the severance from the natural world that we have experienced in modern western society has exacerbated our feelings of distress. I believe we feel this gaping hole as a sense of general malaise, misunderstood and misidentified. But remarkably, we seem to recognize the power that being in nature offers; most people can say, “I dunno, I just feel better after a walk in nature.” This is not a coincidence, this is by design because we ARE nature. Being among the trees and wildflowers stirs the unconscious recognition that we are home.
Rites of passage work is a timeless human endeavor developed to provide the security, connection and process for personal exploration and growth within a vibrant web of human and non-human relationship and belonging. The benefits of engaging in this work can be felt in as little as a day, or over the course of many days and weeks. Trained by Wilderness Reflections which belongs to the lineage of The School of Lost Borders, I guide rites of passage work as a way to support a deepening dialogue within ourselves, between one another and within the natural world.
I will post community events below, and am happy to chat with you about developing an experience that supports your community; whether that is your community of family, friends, organization or school. I look forward to hearing from you.
Women’s Nature Day
On September 26th, we’ll spend a day in the beauty of West Marin slowing down, connecting with nature and like-minded women, making space for reflection, and listening for what wants to emerge in your life this fall season. 🐿️
Whether you’re standing at a crossroads, moving through change or loss, or simply yearning for more spaciousness and clarity, you are welcome here.
Perhaps this is your invitation to pause, breathe, listen—and remember what matters most. ✨
