Ecotherapy can encompass a wide variety of activities and practices to support your therapeutic journey. However, at its core, nature based therapy offers the healing balm of returning to a grounded source of connectedness to the earth and all of its systems. The senses are stimulated and soothed, and the nervous system regulates. It really can be as simple, and beautiful, as going for a walk in a natural space, and tuning in to the details around you. In my clinical practice, I integrate ecotherapy with other therapeutic approaches.

On a personal note, I have experienced some of the most profound healing and insight when I have built relationships with the natural world; whether it’s among the breathtaking vistas of Yosemite peaks and valleys, or while admiring the sweetest springtime wildflower in my backyard…the lessons and connections sustain me. I not only believe that nature based therapy offers unique healing to a weary heart, but that it is a deeply desired balm to our thirsty souls in this time of greed, over consumption and artificial living; we are suffering because of this fracture with nature. Throughout my website, and below, are some places, beings, and moments that have captured my heart, brought me awe and joy, and kept my spirit alive and in love with our world.
