Grief work
Grief can profoundly shape a person…and is often not talked about, not shared, not fully understood. We frequently feel incredibly alone when we are experiencing grief.
And yet we grieve so much:
the loss of a beloved
the love, acceptance, and support we deserved, but never had, as children
the dreams we held for ourselves that life has steered us away from
the end of our children’s childhood and innocence, and the passage of time
our body not being able to conceive a child
our time of fertility coming to an end
our health and vitality when faced with a life threatening and/or altering diagnosis
the health of our planet and destruction of sacred spaces
When something in our life is causing us distress, we have two options: one is to enact change; to DO something to support a different outcome. However, some things are outside of our control or ability to affect…and this is when we turn to the act of grieving…and we grieve so that we can heal.
I am here to support this deeply tender and sacred journey inward. Together, we will gently invite the aching parts to be present, we will listen to the yearning with compassionate understanding, and create a meaningful way through and forward.
